Last night, I came home to find my back door had been kicked in and my house had been robbed. I have a high privacy fence and a large dog (the burglar(s) fed him celery to keep him from attacking???????). I felt that those were deterrents that would keep my home safe, and I am reeling from the rude awakening.

I know that people feel very violated after a break in and it can take a long time to feel safe again. I am a single mom with a little girl, and I need to feel safe and know that she is protected. My landlord is installing an alarm system tomorrow, and my dog is going to security training (celery??? REALLY????) ASAP.

Could others who have been through this offer any advice to help get back to a rational sense of security and confidence that can and will be safe again?

I am running a daycare and I have a little girl who many many allergies. I want to make my home as safe as I can for her. Is there any place to find out about how to clean, what food to stay away from, maybe even the best or worst cleaning supplies. Please help me find something., Thanks
Im not a smoker, and this little girl is allergic to just about everything there is. I just want her to be safe
