I have a miniature Dachshund that I’ve had for 15yrs and love to death. We got her when I was 10 yrs old and able to give her lots and lots of attention. (I am definitely on board with the fact that you should not get a dog unless you can give it attention). However, now I’m 25 and I work during the day and can’t even dream of giving her away after all these years. She was staying at home with my mother (who works nights) until yesterday when she got out of the backyard and got lost. Thank Goodness a nice couple found her and kept her safe. Until I’m able to repair the fence at my mother’s house so she won’t get out again, I’ll be keeping her with me at my apt. With the limited space, how can I keep her from being lonely while I’m at work from 8-5:30. She’s really old, so I don’t know if she’d be interested in playing with toys. I’ve also found that she’s bothered by younger dogs. Sorry so long.

And if you don’t mind, why or why not?

I set up 3 payments to a credit card company and the last payment came out of my checking account Oct. 1. I then recieved a letter from a collection company saying I owed them on this debt. They said they recieved the account from the original creditor on Oct. 23, 22 days after I paid the account in full. Now I have another mark on my credit from the collection company. I can not get the credit card company to give me a strait answer on why this happened or how they are going to fix it. They keep saying they will let a supervisor review my account and they will call me back, 4 times they have said this. Then today they tell me that another collection company, NCO Financial is handling the account……lol I dont know what to do. Can anyone help me and advise me how to get this fixed. I am so frustrated and I am planning on buying a house this summer and I dont want another bad thing on my credit! Thanks

Franklin Raines, with two other defendants, settled with the Justice Department on April 18, 2008, agreeing to pay fines of million.

In addition, Raines agreed to pay back an additional .8 million he received from a recent stock sale. Did he see the crisis coming and sell out his shares early?

I realized that my backyard Isn’t a safe place to keep my dog because I have a swimming pool. My dad was supposed to get a pool cover but now he’s not. I would teach my dog how to safely exit the pool but my father would rather do a bad job cleaning the pool than higher someone to do a good job to clean it (he’s EXTREMELY CHEAP). I tried to find someone to clean it but it would have been dollars an hour. Ive tried looking for a kennel but I believe that wouldn’t be safe also because I would need to find someway to bolt the kennel to ground because our backyard is covered in concrete. I just thought about buying a zip line, which I believe are used in the mid-west where fences are prohibited but we don’t have a tree in the backyard and I don’t know how safe it would be to attach it to anything else. I decided rather to find a no-kill shelter, but I was looking on Peta website and I came across this horrible story where Peta basically supports shelter that euthanize animals and how animals are no better of at no-kill shelters. But I don’t want to take the dog to a shelter at a time when shelters are overly packed with dogs and people cant afford to pay for adoption fees and I don’t believe many people go looking for dogs at shelters.
So I thought about putting the dog on craigslist with a re-homing fee, but I don’t want just any crazy person responding to the add, so I thought maybe a re-homing fee of dollars I think It would be better to go higher but the big problem is is that I got the dog from a woman who I think I shouldn’t have trusted because she told me the dog was a rescue dog but she didn’t have proof of the dogs first vaccinations. She only had handwritten his two vaccinations and then she attached a sticker of the vaccination she gave the dog herself. Not until later did I think the shelter should have given the dog all of it shots! I looked at the dog petted him asked if he had any health issues she said no and I took the dog. But after really examining the dog I realize he’s too thin. So basically I don’t even know how anyone would be willing to adopt a skinny unfixed puppy without proof of vaccinations for or more. The humane society told me I could get the dog vaccinated again which im willing to do but those dudes or like animal freaks that will not neuter a 4 month old puppy. I know this becuz i took my mom 9 month old beagle there and they told me to wait tell he is older and his baby teeth fell out which never did happen so they finally nurtured the dog. I would put the dog in a crate but not 4 hours only for 2 hours cause he doesn’t like the crate and plus i would like him to be able to run around and play outside when Im gone or working. So would you, a sane individual, be willing to buy this puppy on craigslist for 60 bucks if I do get the dog vaccinated again or is it safer to maybe post the dog up for adoption at a vet or the human society?

melissa what are you talking about? Walking the dog isnt a problem since I do it everyday. And those individuals who dont have yards probably dont live in a 5 bedroom house with other open rooms where the dog could also get into trouble when the owners are gone.
and I bought the dog knowing that my dad would get a pool cover and now he’s not.

How come these 2 are off the hook? Look what happened to the leader of Enron. Double standard anyone?

Ok so I’m a young woman & recently I’ve been thinking about becoming a landlord because what I know of them so far is that they make decent money but what I also know about them is alot of damage can be done & alot of trouble can be stirred, especially when It comes to the people that you’ll be renting to! so I was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on how to prevent this? & any advice that you’d like to share? My aunt was a landlord for about 8yrs & her & her husband made a reasonable amount of money? do all landlords make reasonable/decent amounts of money? enough to support them & there family? I want to buy & apartment complex anywhere from 4-10 apts & the rent will be anywhere from 0-00,is there anyway that I can make sure that I’m renting to decent people that are willing to pay there rent & avoid starting trouble? I want to make sure that when & if I decide to persure becoming a landlord that I’m ready & I won’t get screwd over!! so any advice & tips?

I have a child that recently entered in a page where it talks about sex and finding a mate. This is my child so how do I set up a security so that these pages do not open or that my child can not open. PLZ help! I want to keep my child safe when I am not home.

I honestly don’t know, that’s why I’m asking.
My immediate thougths:
"Will it help the overall good?" and
"What kind of tone does this indicate for American business?"
Thanks for sincere input!

If FNM is privatized what does that mean for stocks? Will fannie ever be able to profit again?

Two months ago, I adopted a female feral cat from my job. She lives with my boyfriend and I in a room we rent. She doesn’t have a ton of space and is allowed to walk into the hallway and kitchen, because out roommates don’t mind us having the cat. I have just read that it is better to keep the new cat in a separate room, but we don’t exactly have that option. Which brings me to my question.

There is a new, male cat at my job now, and he looks about the same age as my cat (7 months old), and I am thinking he may be from the same abandoned litter as my cat. I am thinking of bringing him home too, because it is very cold and snowy here in NY and I would like him to have a safe and warm home, and my cat is usually alone during the day, so I figure she could use a friend.

My cat is spayed, and I was wondering if it would be a problem if I brought this new cat home. The male is very friendly with humans and loves to be petted and played with. It took my cat a while to adjust because she was very afraid of people, but now is very sweet and loving with my boyfriend and I. What should I do? I don’t want this cat to die out in the street or freeze in my job at night. Thanks!
@Ralfcoder I asked the question here because my circumstances are a little different than what I was able to find. So rather than waste your time telling me to search for the question, how about answering the question, or hitting the back button. You are not subjected to answer my question, so if the repetition of questions bothers you, why don’t you take it up with the Yahoo people. If not, for lack of a better term, too bad.

I am a US greencard holder but dont stay in the US for more than 1-2 months a year. From this year onwards I will have all my income from Property Investments (Rental Income) in a foreign country – I have no other business or employment. Do I have to pay US social security and medicare on my income?? Would it be considered a business since I have no other income apart from this?? If yes then what is the rate?? and is there any possible way to avoid paying this?? I do not channel my property investments through a management company – but just hire a person privately to look after my properties and collect rents on time. I pay less than a month to this hired helper.

Also if anyone knows the taxes on Rental income overseas – if my address in the US is in New York State (not NYC).

This would help me decide if I want to keep the Greencard or get rid of it – Please keep in mind that I have no other source of income except my property investments… Thanks a lot.

In your experience, what would be a reasonable offer based on the following statistics.
List Price: 4900
Comps: 7900
Costs for repairs will be approximately: 00
According to website, Fannie Mae acquired property for 8000

We were thinking 4,000.

I am thinking of getting into real estate (owning houses which I would rent to tenants.) However, I don’t want to deal with the problems all the time, like fixing some broken plumbing system or something. I have heard that property managers take care of this and act as secondary landlords. How would a landlord go about finding a good property manager who also satisfies the tenants? Why would a property manager not decide to become a landlord?

She despises them. Hates, hates, hates them. The only reason I have them is because I agreed to do everything with my own money and keep them in my room. When she’s at work [she works night shift as a nurse and doesn't get home until 11 or later] I let them play around the house in safe areas. I was watching a movie in the livingroom and lost track of the time with them on the couch with me. At around midnight she came home and was not amused, making me bring them into my room threatening to get rid of them. I’ve tried showing her pictures of rats and I’ve tried getting her to look at my rats when they’re in the cage so they won’t investigate her, but her comments are always on how disgusting they are.

Is there any way I can get her to at least tolerate them?

Thanks.

We were supposed to buy a house from my parents. My wife and I don’t have great credit and in the course of three years we were to rent the house and straighten out our credit so that we can then try and qualify for a mortage. This house was in a very bad state and needed alot of tlc. They agreed and opened up a credit line with home depot that allowed us to fix up the place. My wife was put down as an authorized user on the card. Nothing extravagant at all was done to the house, just true tlc. Well, due to family issues (jealousy from a sibling that was able to manipulate them into hating us, please trust me when I say that it’s chaotic and extreme how sad this person is and is willing to go to ruin people) they now want us out of the house but want us to still pay the card off and are threatening legal action.

I don’t think we’re obligated to pay the card since we’re not going to be living here (currently looking for a place) and we never got as far as owning the house. Everything charged on the card went to the house. They still own it, all of the credit cards purchases went solely to the house and we’re being kicked out and never bought it. But because my wife was the authorized user and made the purchases, are we legally obligated to pay it still?
Thank you so much. Everything I said is the truth. We’re emotionally drained and just feel like on the verge of a mental breakdown. We’re losing money as well, we put our own out of pocket earnings into the house as well.

I never knew my family member could be so evil just because their life is pathetic because they want everything for free and don’t know the true meaning of earning things.

My wife and myself have been talking of buying some rental property but i have no clue about being a landlord….got any advice, books, websites, etc…that can help out with learning the basics..the things i really need to know? is it worth the headaches?

and was ignored by the Democrats and Obama got the second most next to Chris Dodd in contributions from these companies why is the current financial crisis a Republican fault. Seriously wake up Obamamaniacs he got the second most amount of money from these two companies. McCain introduced legislation in 05 and it was turned down. Bush wanted to do something in 2003. I know it is hard for Bush haters to admit this but he deserves props on this one

i have two bitches one just had a litter and theyre about 5 weeks old now the stray dog is hanging around.for the other dog how can i get him to leave and keep him safe? i thought about talking hm far from my home but thats cruel and he would get hurt or something and i dont want to call the animal pound he will get put to sleep,he seems like a sweet dog just scared.but i have weimers

NO bb guns and stuff that is cruel.

I am trying to decide whether to buy more, sell tomorrow, or sit on it for awhile.

The four largest recipients of political donations by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from 1989 through 2008 were Sen. Chris Dodd (3,900), Sen. John Kerry (1,000), President Barack Obama (5,849), and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (,550).

So I’ve searched google and resolved questions and I can’t find the answer I’m looking for.

Long story short: My husband and I inquired about buying a home and the lady (realtor) that did the credit check and such said that we would have better luck buying a home sold by the owner. She said my husbands credit is "fair" and is 10 points below what it needs to be for her to assist us. I already know my credit wont help. It will take another year for it to be where I want it. We don’t have any current "dings" It is all old stuff that we accumulated separately before we were married and we are working on fixing it now.

I found a house that’s a for sale by owner that is in our price range. She told me that I would work with my bank and they would help me take care of all of the financial stuff. The thing is we have already been told by one person that our credit is too low, but to go with a for sale by owner. How is this going to work with bad credit? It doesn’t make sense to me.

She (the realtor from b4) also told us that based on our income and bills that we were approved for 200k. We are actually looking for anything under 140k. The house we are looking into buying now is 130k.

Should we wait another year until our credit is perfect or will we be able to get this home that’s for sale by owner? I don’t have a problem with waiting, but if we can get into a house now I’d rather stop paying my landlord 00 a month for a little ass apartment when I can be in my own home with a pool for around the same amount.
we would also be using the VA loan
